Alma García began as a certified promoter of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles program in 2002, she has had the opportunity to work with different organizations, training and certifying herself in different topics related to the well-being of the Latino community advocacy, and women’s health. Alma also participated in an investigation project for UCLA regarding the work of promoters. Currently, Alma works with the University of Southern California SC CTSI as Community Outreach Coordinator, and at the same time is a member of the group Corazon y Caracter where she contributes to the work for the welfare and advocacy of the community.
Alma García empezó como promotora certificada del programa Planned Parenthood Los Ángeles en el año 2002, ha tenido la oportunidad de trabajar con diferentes organizaciones capacitándose y certificándose en diferentes temas relacionados con el bienestar de la comunidad Latina, abogacía y salud de la mujer. Alma participó en un proyecto de investigación para UCLA sobre el trabajo de las promotoras. Actualmente Alma trabaja con la Universidad del Sur de California SC CTSI como Coordinadora de Alcance Comunitario, y al mismo tiempo es miembro del grupo Corazón y Carácter donde contribuye al trabajo para el bienestar y abogacía de la comunidad.
